The result of your giving will last forever...
In 1994, Friends of Children in Romania built 2 houses in a village on the edge of the Carpathian Mountains where 5 or 6 children could live as a family. They were abandoned as babies and toddlers and left in institutions where there was no love.

Every one of those 16 children is secure. All of them are loved, they have friends, they go to local schools; four have got into high school, a big achievement in Romania which has exacting educational standards under a rigorous regime.ALI, DIANA & GEORGIANA

are normal teenagers who fall in love often, play football (more often); rebel sometimes and are deeply fond of each other and those who look after them. We have a superb Romanian Project Manager, Betty Grigorias, who dances with them, laughs with them, disciplines them, visits their schools frequently (teachers and children can get away with nothing!). Believing strongly in the value of education, she makes sure that the huge amount of homework is supervised by the carers who all, very much including Betty, help them. She leads the team of carers with insight and wisdom. READ MORE
